How to use the Leave Account Verifier

HP FORM 2 [See Rule 15] is the statutory register of leave — thirty-six columns tracking earned leave, half-pay leave, commuted leave, leave not due and extraordinary leave across a whole career. This tool builds it from a service history and shows every half-year's working, so a figure can be checked rather than taken on trust.

What it does

Enter the date of commencement of continuous service and the dates of birth and retirement, add each spell of leave taken, and the register is worked out half-year by half-year. Every credit, debit and balance is shown in the column the form prescribes, and the printed document follows the workbook's own page layout.

What has and has not been verified

The register's spine is checked against 2,256 cells read straight out of a real saved workbook — twenty-four columns across ninety-four half-year rows — and reproduces every one. That covers the ordinary account. It does NOT cover the one-tenth deduction, dies-non, extraordinary leave, half-pay leave taken, commuted leave without a medical certificate, or either kind of leave not due: the workbook case leaves all of those at zero, so those branches are implemented and unit-tested but not yet confirmed against a worked case. Treat a printed Form 2 that uses them as a working paper, not as a final account.
